Kinder civics
Kinder Civics has a two-fold mission: to equip educators with the tools and confidence they need to teach civics effectively and to help young people become informed, engaged citizens.
We create practical, classroom-ready resources that help teachers navigate civics, current events, civil discourse, media literacy, and democratic engagement. We also develop engaging books and educational materials for K–8 learners that introduce civic concepts in accessible and meaningful ways.
The need for civic education has never been greater. Recent surveys show that many teachers fear backlash when teaching civics, while young Americans report declining trust in government and political institutions.
Kinder Civics seeks to address these challenges by providing balanced, evidence-based resources that encourage knowledge, critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and civic participation.
The word kinder reflects both our focus on young learners and our belief in a kinder approach to civic life—one grounded in empathy, curiosity, and constructive engagement. Our goal is simple: to help educators and learners build the knowledge, skills, and habits that strengthen communities and democracy
